Body as Material
The course by Ima Iduozee focuses on the structures and the strata of the human body. Course activities aim to discover unfamiliar yet precise bodily states. The short course is an introduction to the methods Iduozee uses in his choreographic work, such as body alienation. The themes are approached through improvisation exercises and choreographed series of movement. The movement vocabulary introduced by Iduozee forms a foundation for the discovery of new body techniques and a full, rich expression as a performer.
Ima Iduozee works with dance, choreography and performance in Finland and abroad. His debut performance This is the Title premiered in Helsinki in 2012, and his new solo piece The Body of Work will premiere in Zodiak in November 2016.

Availability is limited, so sign up in time! Welcome letters and invoices are sent to participants immediately after registration closes. Cancellations must be communicated no later than seven days before the course begins. With the exception of injuries and illnesses certified in writing by a doctor, cancellations made later than seven days before the course or workshop are subject to full course fee.
