The course by Sibiry Konate introduces traditional West African dance and combines it with contemporary elements. The classes are a combination of different dance styles, live music, energy, speed, physicality and joy. Empty your mind, throw yourself into the motion and live in the moment!
The course is ideal for advanced amateur dancers and an excellent source of inspiration and new material for dance professionals and dance students. No previous experience of African dance is required. Improvisational exercises form an important part of the course. The classes start with a warm-up and end with stretching – with a ‘sauna African style’ in between!
Live music to dance to is provided by musicians Cheik Cisokho and Issiaka Dembele.
Tuesdays at 18-20, 8 November - 29 November and Thursday 8 December at 18-20.

Availability is limited, so sign up in time! Welcome letters and invoices are sent to participants immediately after registration closes. Cancellations must be communicated no later than seven days before the course begins. With the exception of injuries and illnesses certified in writing by a doctor, cancellations made later than seven days before the course or workshop are subject to full course fee.
