Milla Martikainen, Kati Raatikainen, Luka Raatikainen, Johannes Vartola: Yhteis(ty)ö

Yhteis(ty)ö (Collaboration/Community) is a choreographic study born out of collaboration between humans and a canine. It bites into the binary opposites of nature versus culture and human versus animal and how they are born, questioning and deconstructing them in the process. The aim is to lay bare the already existing interconnected forms of human/non-human co-operation and (re)challenge their power relations. 

We practice opening ourselves to wordless being in the moment, enthusiasm, motion and love; in other words, to the possibility of collaboration.

Kati Raatikainen is a Helsinki-based choreographer and performance artist. Through her artistic work, she examines possibilities of breaking down our human-centred view of the world.
