The festival is now being held for the second time and it is organised by Zodiak - Centre for New Dance, Helsinki City Theatre, the music school Pohjois-Helsingin Bändikoulu and Teatteri Tuike.
The programme comprises of performances and performative concepts developed within the community art project Valokeilassa Koillinen. The programme is free of charge and open to all and the events are organised according to following COVID-19 safety instructions.
Valokeilassa Koillinen is a three-year community art project that aims to create and develop different kinds of art and artistic activities in the areas of Tapulikaupunki, Suutarila, Siltamäki, Puistola and Tapanila.
The project invites all residents of the area to participate in artistic activities not only as spectators but also as creators. The artists of the project work in the environments close to the daily lives of the residents, out of the traditional theater and performance spaces.
