This residency concept provides an opportunity for artistic experimentation without the pressure of an upcoming premiere.
We are now looking for Zodiak Laboratory residency applications for autumn 2025 and spring 2026. We offer two residency periods for each season.
Zodiak Laboratory support includes:
- 1000 euros of production funding to cover salaries. Please note: international artists will need to cover the accommodation and travel costs themselves.
- approx 60 hrs of studio time (Studio C4) within two weeks, including two demonstration sessions open for audience at the end of the residency
- the studio's own sound equipment and, where possible, additional sound equipment
- where possible, lighting equipment (sound and lighting equipment reserved primarily for premiere productions on Zodiak Stage)
- 12 dimmer channels in the studio
The Zodiak Laboratory residencies currently open for applications will take place in October and December 2025, and in January, February-March and May 2026. Please indicate in your application which month’s residency you would prefer.
