Choreographer-dancer-musician Elisa Pirinen's professional workshop MUSIC IS THE BEST is a quest for the greatest, most delightful and resonating essence of making music. Are you one of those who have always wanted to make music, but never had the time or the courage or just didn't know where to start? All this can now be changed.
The two-day workshop consists of exercises aiming for a discovery of musicality through singing, composing, writing as well as playing and arranging music. During the course the body of the performing artist is tuned for making music. This is done by singing, playing, writing and arranging songs made by participants using different instruments and imaginative, sufficiently challenging methods, working both solo and in teams.
The workshop is intended for dance, theatre, circus and performance art professionals and vocational students. The workshop is a standalone continuation of Pirinen's Dance Artists Making Music professional workshop arranged in 2013. The Music Is the Best workshop is also suitable for participants with no previous experience of creating music.

Availability is limited, so sign up in time! Welcome letters and invoices are sent to participants immediately after registration closes. Cancellations must be communicated no later than seven days before the course begins. With the exception of injuries and illnesses certified in writing by a doctor, cancellations made later than seven days before the course or workshop are subject to full course fee.
