By the Pool is a series of events and performances that happen, as the title suggests, by the pool. The form and duration of the events vary according to the topic and the guests involved. By the Pool is a modern-day well of wisdom that creates an environment for people to come together.

Side Step Festival 2016 witnesses the fourth part in the series:

#4 Elina Pirinen plays Mermaid by the pool

In this performance we add a yet another mermaid into the canon of these mythical nautical creatures. A mermaid is a beautiful beast that welcomes the audience by the pool. 

By the pool we dwell on the subjects meat, body and commerce.
