The Danish dance company NEXT ZONE will teach a workshop in breakdance, acrobatics and popping. The participants will be introduced to some of the themes and physical practices that were used to create the movement vocabulary of the performance Ritual.
The workshop starts with a short and playful contemporary warm-up. After that we will move into breakdance, acrobatics and finish with popping. The workshop is open for all ages and levels and it will be adjusted according to the skills and age of the participants.
The instructors of the workshop are Hocine Khiar and Mehdi Belkabir. They are both breakdancers at a very high technical and artistic level, who regularly participate, with their crews, in competitions such as Battle of the Year.
RITUAL, choreographed by Lene Boel, is a raw, humoristic and thought-provoking journey inspired by Inuit culture, arctic nature and urban breakdance battles. The performance is at Stoa musiikkisali on Saturday 8.4. at 4 pm.
The workshop is part of the ApinaFest programme.

Cancellations must be communicated on the last cancellation day by 4 pm the latest. Please check this course's last day of cancellation from above. With the exception of injuries and illnesses certified in writing by a doctor, cancellations made later than the deadline are subject to full course fee.
Zodiak's courses and workshops can also be paid using pre-paid Liikuntaseteli and Kulttuuriseteli vouchers (Smartum Oy) as well as Virikeseteli vouchers (Edenred Oy). You can pay with the vouchers in the beginning of the first class (only exact amounts) or you can bring the vouchers to Zodiak office (open weekdays 11 am to 4 pm). It is not possible to pay the course fee with cash.
