In this weekend workshop for men we go back to the empowering potential of dance. We approach motion through experientiality and action. We expand our understanding of our own bodies and explore the potential of dance through improvisation and guided motion exercises. Activities done solo, in pairs and together as a group challenge us to work with physicality, the continuity of motion and imagination. Rap, disco and baile-funk music pump up our energy and make us sweat, while more meditative chords take us back to sensitivity and sensuality.
The course is instructed in Finnish and English.

Ima Eljas Iduozee is choreographer and dancer born in Helsinki who has worked in numerous dance and theatre productions since 2009. Iduozee's internationally acclaimed debut This is the Title (2012) has toured 10 countries in Europe, Asia and North America, and was selected into the Aerowaves Network shortlist of 20 recommended works in 2016. Iduozee's latest work Purple Nights (2015) was commissioned by Stockholm City Theatre. In 2015, Iduozee received the annual Critics' Spurs award of the Finnish Critics' Association for best artistic breakthrough.

Enrollment is binding. Cancellations must be communicated on the last enrollment day by 6 pm the latest. Please check this course's last day of enrollment from above. With the exception of injuries and illnesses certified in writing by a doctor, cancellations made later than the deadline are subject to full course fee.
Zodiak's courses and workshops can also be paid using pre-paid Liikuntaseteli and Kulttuuriseteli vouchers (Smartum Oy) as well as Virikeseteli vouchers (Edenred Oy). You can pay with the vouchers in the beginning of the first class or you can bring the vouchers to Zodiak office (open weekdays 11 am to 4 pm). It is not possible to pay the course fee with cash.
