Will Funk For Food
Will Funk For Food, founded in 2008, is one of the most internationally successful street dance groups in Finland specialised in locking. WFFF is making locking known in Finland and aims to establish street dance as part of the Finnish cultural scene and bring joy to all ages. The dance group has won three consecutive Finnish Championships and performed internationally in Japan, France, and Sweden.
Locking
Locking is a dance form that originated in 1969 in Los Angeles on the West Coast of the United States, created by Don "Campbellock" Campbell. It was brought to the public's attention through the Soultrain programme and the performances of The Lockers, a dance troupe formed in 1973. Locking is characterised by fast movements ending in tight stops and the movement language of 70s African-American dances such as 'funky chicken' or 'bus stop'.
